Amy Kim

As a visual artist, Amy Kim exhibited her works at the CICA museum, Seoul, South Korea; Ping-yao International Photography Festival, Ping-yao China and at many art. In 2018, two competitive graduate fellowship grants totaling $5000 funded Amy’s MFA thesis exhibition Photo Expo. In 2019, the Cardozier Gallery at UT Permian Basin in Odessa, TX exhibited Photo Expo as a solo show. Amy has a book chapter in press “Photographic Arts and Fake News.” The book, published by Association of College and Research Libraries will appear in 2021.

In 2019, Amy earned an MFA from Texas Tech University’s School of Art with an emphasis in photography. She currently is a full-time faculty member and director of gallery at UT Permian Basin Department of Arts. Amy is an American-born Korean. She lived in South Korea, Michigan, and Texas, her current home.
