Bio: 
Mark Lenker is a Teaching and Learning Librarian for University Libraries. Mark holds a Masters in Library and Information Science from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a PhD in philosophy from Marquette University. He teaches information literacy for general education students and consults with students on their research. He coordinates Libraries outreach to student veterans and was honored with a “UNLV Rebel Vet Salute.” He writes about information literacy’s intersections with lifelong learning and informed democracy. The peer-reviewed journal portal: Libraries and the Academy recognized his piece “Developmentalism: Learning as the Basis for Evaluating Information” as its Best Article for 2017.
