Carol Hargis is the Humanities and Instruction Librarian at University of North Texas where she teaches Research Instruction classes for English and Communication Studies. She provides class instruction, one on one instruction, and outreach along with collection development assistance. Her research interests include high impact practices, information literacy instruction, instruction pedagogy and successful online and hybrid pedagogy outcomes. As part of the Information Literacy Initiative at the University of North Texas, a team of librarians conducted a curriculum mapping project to improve UNT students’ critical thinking and ability to use information effectively.
